Welcome to the Aylesbury District Voluntary Group for Diabetes UK, registered charity No. 215199. Diabetes UK web site - see www.diabetes.org.uk. If you have diabetes, are caring for someone with diabetes or would just like to help us raise funds for Diabetes UK, then we hope you will join us. We meet monthly on the first Thursday of the month for a social gathering; usually at 8pm in the Diabetes Centre in Stoke Mandeville Hospital. The programme is varied and there is often a speaker as well as time for an informal chat over tea and biscuits. For more details – see programme of events

What's on this month! 

  • Store collection at Aldi Store, Aylesbury. Thanks to all who helped. A total of £182.85 was raised

 

  • No meeting in May . Our sponsored walk on Saturday 9th May in and around Waddesdon  went well with about 35 walkers taking part. Please collect your sponsor money and let Ken or Basil have it. as soon as possible.

 

  • Thanks to everyone who supported our Care for a Cuppa events. We will update you with a total as soon as we can.

 

  • In June there will be a talk by Mr Colin Oakes on "London between the Wars". Thursday June 4th at Stoke Mandeville Hospital at 8pm.

 

  • SAINSBURY’S  is inviting customers and colleagues to nominate a local charity to be the store’s charity partner for the year.You can nominate the Aylesbury & District branch of Diabetes UK by completing a nomination form and putting it in the ‘Local Charity of the Year’ voting box at the front of store by Tuesday, May 26. Sainsbury’s will draw up a short list from all nominations submitted. Please take a few minutes to nominate us.
