Welcome to the
Aylesbury District Voluntary Group for Diabetes UK, registered charity
No. 215199. Diabetes UK web site - see
www.diabetes.org.uk. If you have
diabetes, are caring for someone with diabetes or would just like to
help us raise funds for Diabetes UK, then we hope you will join us. We
usually meet every other month on the first Thursday of the month for a social gathering;
usually at 8pm in the Community Centre, Eskdale Road, Stoke Mandeville. The
programme is varied and there is often a speaker as well as time for an
informal chat over tea and biscuits. For more details – see

What's on this month! Our meetings are now being held at the Community Centre, Eskdale Road, Stoke Mandeville until further notice. Thursday 2nd Feb at 8.00pm - AGM followed by cheese and wine. All welcome. Come and have your say, vote for the new committee, hear about the changes to Diabetes UK. Coming Soon... Saturday 31st March - Charity stall in Market Square (to be confirmed). Saturday 21st April - Quiz Night with supper at Fairford Leys Community Centre. Teams of up to 10 people. Tickets £10 per person available from Maria (01296 486269) or Pat (pat.housego@tiscali.co.uk ) Saturday 12th May - Sponsored walks from Stewkley Methodist Church Hall at 10.00am and 10.30pm. Download sponsor form here.... Gazebos We have 2 gazebos which are
available for hire. They are easy to erect and each measures
3metres x 3metres and come complete with sides. They can be
hired singly or together.The cost is £30 per gazebo for 3 day hire and an extra £5 per day thereafter. For this we will deliver them to you and erect them for you. We will also come and take them down after your event. (Applies to local area only). A £50 returnable deposit is also required. Please ring 01296 613876 for more details and availability We urgently need you! Although we meet socially as a group, one of our primary objectives is to raise money for Diabetes UK. We do this in a number of different ways and we need your help with all of them. Please see our fundraising page or join our group. You don't have to be diabetic - just keen to help us ! |
